Friends of Christ Global Aid Foundation partners with volunteers, donors, and organizations both locally and internationally to extend its reach and deepen its impact. Through our initiatives, we aim to create lasting change by empowering individuals, restoring hope, and building stronger communities rooted in faith and compassion.
Friends of Christ Global Aid Foundation was founded out of the deep compassion and unwavering faith of its founder, Gilbert Osa-Benedict, who was inspired by the life and values of his father, the late Pa Benedict Osafomwan Igbineweka. A man known for his kindness, generosity, and non-discriminatory nature, Pa Benedict instilled in Gilbert the importance of love, care, and service to others.
Growing up in a family where charity was at the heart of life, Gilbert's passion for helping others flourished, and his Christian faith further strengthened this desire to give back. He often found himself actively involved in outreaches and soul-winning missions. It was during these missions that Gilbert observed a significant barrier to faith: poverty. Many individuals he encountered were struggling with basic needs, which often hindered them from fully dedicating their lives to God.
Rather than merely acknowledging the problem, Gilbert felt a strong conviction to become part of the solution. He realized that through service, not only could physical needs be met, but hearts could be opened to God's love.
This realization led him to establish Friends of Christ Global Aid Foundation—an organization that blends practical support with spiritual guidance, driven by the motto: "Good to Mankind, Service to God." Since its inception, the foundation has been committed to uplifting the lives of the less privileged, bridging the gap between need and opportunity. By providing food, education, healthcare, and spiritual counsel, Friends of Christ seeks to transform lives and empower individuals to live with dignity and hope.
Today, the foundation continues to reflect Gilbert's vision of being a force for good, not just by addressing the challenges faced by the underprivileged but by actively creating lasting solutions for a brighter, more compassionate world. Having noted that no single individual can accomplish the vast task of reaching out to many in need, Gilbert took the next step of seeking like-minded individuals to join him in this mission. He looked for people who shared his compassion, love for God, and a deep concern for the welfare of others.
With a heart full of purpose, Gilbert shared his vision with some of his trusted friends. Inspired by the desire to make a meaningful difference, this collective passion and commitment gave birth to Friends of Christ Global Aid Foundation—an organization dedicated to bringing hope and care to the less privileged. Through collaboration and unity, the foundation has grown into a platform for impactful outreach, touching lives and spreading the love of Christ far and wide.
